Today’s Get to know series will focus on Jovantay Williams the aggressive defensive end from Johnson C. Smith, and we feel at NFL Draft Diamonds, you will want to know all about him.

High School: Redan High School and Stephenson High both located in Stone Mountain, GA

Position/Positions: Defensive end

College: Johnson C Smith University

Position/Positions: Defensive End/ Outside linebacker

Football Mentor/Inspiration: A real inspiration has to be my mother because she helped me stay positive on continuing to chase my dream. She has always been my biggest fan so I continue to push for her. Even when I was down to my last she stayed by my side.

Favorite Slogan: #countup I say that because in order to get far you have to count all your blessings.

Proudest Football Moment/Memory: One of my proudest moments would have to be us playing Davidson College that game I recorded 4 sacks. I knew at that moment that god had really blessed me with a second chance to display my talents.

Funniest Football Memory: One of my funniest moments has to be when I was hit by Marcus Ball of the New Orleans Saints in high school. It was really funny because I was the young guy doing all the hitting.

Favorite Food: I really do not have a favorite food because I love to eat. Food is a way to my heart.

Best On-Field Performance: My best on field performance would be the Davidson College game, I recorded 4 sacks and 7 total tackles.

Football Philosophy: Great players are made when no one is looking.

Game Superstitions: I always have to drink a childrens pedialyte before every game something I started in high school because of cramping my first junior year high school football game.

Goals/Aspirations for 2014-2015: One of my biggest goals is to be a great all-around player meaning being able to show I can play disciplined football doing all my assignments. 

Career Goals: A big career goal is to help lead our team to a championship season so us seniors can leave proudly.

Favorite Football Team: I have no favorite team but I have two teams I would love to see go far because of two players that I looked up to that’s the Seattle Seahawks (Bruce Irvin) and the New Orleans Saints (Marcus Ball).

Player You Model Your Game After: Robert Mathis that’s because of his pass rush, I’m a pass rusher naturally at heart.

Who Will Win The Super Bowl: Seahawks

Favorite Down Time: Working out and watching Netflix
