Former 3rd round pick Leon McFadden lasted a week with the Jets

mcfaddenIt does not look good when you are a former 3rd round pick and you cannot make the New York Jets roster.  The Jets are super thin at the cornerback position.  Today, the team released Leon McFadden the former Cleveland Browns former 3rd round draft pick.

A third-round pick of the Browns in 2013, the 23-year-old McFadden played in every regular season game for Cleveland as a rookie, making 19 tackles. The Browns released him on August 30, and the Jets were awarded him on waivers the next day. McFadden was inactive for the Jets’ Week One win vs. Oakland. This is not good for McFadden.  He is obviously in a slump, but he better snap out of it soon, because if you cannot make it on the Jets roster you are not going to have an easy task of making another roster.
