Today the San Diego Chargers restructured their tight ends contract. Antonio Gates who is still a 50/50 to play tonight against the Cardinals helped the organization free up quite a bit of money today.
Chargers restructured TE Antonio Gates’s contract to free up $1.5M in 2014 cap space. $3M of his $5M base was converted to signing bonus.
Gates contract restructure freed up 1.5 million in 2014 cap space, 3 million of his 5 million dollar base was converted to a signing bonus according to Brian McIntyre.
