Weird Al Yankovic to play at the Super Bowl’s Halftime next year?
A petition has surfaced on Change.org to get the parody master on the bill as the official Super Bowl XLIX Halftime show. So far, it’s collected over 4,000 signatures.
Started by a Seattle resident simply going by “Ed B,” the letter that will be delivered to the NFL says why “Weird Al” would make good entertainment, stating “the theatrics alone would be hilarious and a welcome change.” Also suggested were collaborations with artists he parodies, which would add more “prestige and star power.”
According to the Wall Street Journal, the NFL would not respond when they contacted them.
