Vikings RB Adrian Peterson will not play in the teams first preseason game
According to the Star Tribune, Adrian Peterson will not play in the preseason opener against the Raiders on Friday. When he was asked by the Star Tribune about playing, Peterson joked with the reporters by saying:
“Maybe 10-15 carries in this game. …I’m joking,” Peterson said.
The conversation probably lasted about as long as the quote. Peterson will not play on Friday at TCF Bank Stadium, Zimmer said on Tuesday, but every other healthy player will be available. Peterson only started one preseason game last season, Week 3 against the 49ers, but he hasn’t received a preseason carry since Week 3 of the 2011 season, so it truly is not a big deal, unless your betting….
