Seahawks lose hold out with Marshawn Lynch; RB gains pay raise

Marshawn Lynch held out and ultimately won the battle.

The Seahawks took $1 million in bonus and incentive money and added it to Lynch’s 2014 salary. They also added $500,000 to his compensation for this year by giving him a bonus slated for 2015 a year early according to CBSSports.com.

Those moves took his total compensation this season from $5 million to $6.5 million. The Seahawks also forgave Lynch’s fines for holding out, which totaled about $500,000, according to CBSSports.com.
