Panthers QB Cam Newton has been cleared to play; Will play against the Chiefs
According to ESPN.com writer David Newton, Cam Newton has received clearance to play in next Sunday night’s game against the Chiefs.
“Cam is on track to do the things we need him to do now,” coach Ron Rivera told reporters on Sunday, via David Newton of ESPN.com. “We’ve mapped out a lot of things. We’re now getting to the point where the work load is going to increase and things are going to change and we’re going to do things differently now.”
Newton is trying to overcome an ankle surgery that he had a few months ago. The team will be excited to have him back in the lineup.
