Dolphins rack up 9 injuries in practice, Ouch

The preseason is here, and the Miami Dolphins are feeling the pain of injuries. Today they lost 9 players to injury in practice according to the Sun Sentinel.

Receiver Stephen Williams (ankle), quarterback Pat Devlin (hamstring), cornerback Jalil Brown (knee), tight end Charles Clay (right knee) and kicker Caleb Sturgis (groin) all sat out Monday’s practice session, and will likely miss a few more practices this week.

Starting defensive end Olivier Vernon, second-team tight end Michael Egnew, rookie tight end Gator Hoskins (hamstring), and reserve offensive linemen Nate Garner (right forearm), began Monday’s practice as participants, but couldn’t finish the session because of their injuries.
