How much better can Cordarrelle Patterson get?
Cordarrelle Patterson finished the 2013 season on a mission. The former Tennessee Volunteers wide out showed off his skills in the passing game as well as dominating the return game paving the way to the Pro-Bowl. Patterson was a jack of all trades rushing for 3 touchdowns, catching 4 touchdowns and scoring 2 touchdowns on returns. He finished the 2013 NFL season with 2020 total yards. While the outspoken receiver isn’t sure how he will follow-up on a first NFL season in which he became the league’s most dangerous kickoff returner with a Pro Bowl appearance and progressed as a receiver and returner. But Patterson, never shy, knows he’ll have a surprise or two in store.
“This year I’m going to try and pull something different out,” Patterson said at the team’s mandatory minicamp last month. “I don’t know what it is, but I feel like I can get better and improve on my game. When this year comes, I hope I can show the fans and everybody something a little different.”
If Patterson can have another huge season like last year watch out the Vikings could shock a lot of people. The Vikings definitely need Patterson to take the pressure of the other players like whomever their quarterback is and Adrian Peterson. I expect a huge year for Patterson, but I am not sure you can have a better year than he did in 2013.
