Expect a monster year for DeMarco Murray who is in a contract year

DeMarco Murray signed a 4 year / $2.97 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys, including a $662,500 signing bonus, $662,500 guaranteed, and an annual average salary of $743,360, but his contract is over at the end of the year.

Last year Murray had a huge year, averaging over 5 yards a carry for the Cowboys.  The team has loaded up on their offensive line by adding Zach Martin the run blocker from Notre Dame in the first round. Despite Murray’s 1,121 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013, there have been few discussions with the team about extending his deal. Murray is not worried about his contract, all he wants to do is prove his worth.

“I never do,” Murray said when asked if he is worried about a new contract. “That’s something I have no control over, if it happens it happens, if it doesn’t it doesn’t. Like I said, I have to continue to play like I’ve done my entire life and work hard and help this team as much as I can.”

I think Murray is due for a monster year in 2014, and believe he will be a huge focus of the Cowboys offense. The only problem I have with the Boys is they could be playing from behind quite a bit this year.  I feel DeMarco Murray is worth a high pick in Fantasy this year.  Murray has become a very good all purpose back.
