Colts lose their running back for the year with achilles tear
Today Vick Ballard was taken off the field on a cart, and tonight Ian Rapoport reports, that the Indianapolis Colts believe Ballard suffered a torn Achilles tendon in practice Friday.
The running back will undergo tests to confirm the diagnosis. Ballard is almost certainly headed toward surgery and the season-ending injured reserve list.
This is horrible news for the Colts who are thin at the running back position already. The team needs Trent Richardson to step up, and step up Now.
