Chiefs give Jamaal Charles a nice bonus; Signs 2 year extension
Kansas City Chiefs star running back Jamaal Charles will be reporting to training camp after all after reaching an agreement on a two-year contract extension, sources confirmed to ESPN.
The two sides reached an agreement shortly afterward and Charles was en route to camp from his home in Kansas City.
@ESPNNFL: Jamaal Charles’ contract extension will reportedly make him the NFL’s second-highest paid RB
Charles’ previous contract, signed in 2010, had two years remaining. He was scheduled to make $3.9 million this year, including a base salary of $2.65 million.
Expect Charles a top 10 player to get a pretty penny in 2014.
