Patriots ink first small school football player drafted
Today the New England Patriots agreed to terms with former Eastern Illinois quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo. We invited Garoppolo to the East/West Shrine game where he finished the game winning MVP honors. Garoppolo was a very good small school prospect, and earned an invite to the NFL Draft in New York. He had to wait a while, but eventually heard his name called in the 2nd round by the Patriots.

The Patriots announced today the signing of their 2nd round pick,Eastern Illinois QB Jimmy Garoppolo.
Garoppolo grew up a Tom Brady fan, and now he will get to learn from his favorite quarterback of all time. They should have a very good working relationship in New England.
