Grading the Draft: Pittsburgh Steelers edition

shazierSports Ruckus writer Justin Walters has graded the entire AFC North, and while some Steelers fans might not like his grading, he has some very valid points.  Let’s see what the Steelers finished with.

The black & gold know how to get it done on draft day.  They added youth and athletic ability to an aging team.  Steelers strengthened their front 7 and gave Big Ben a few weapons. Bryant could be a star!  I would have liked to see them address their O Line and a cornerback earlier in the draft though.  Dennard was their at 15 and would have been a major upgrade. The overall depth of this draft is so impressive though!

Ryan Shazier LB
Stephon Tuitt DE
Dri Archer RB/WR
Martavis Bryant WR
Shaq Richardson CB
Wesley Johnson OL
Jordan Zumwalt LB
Daniel McCullers DT
Robert Branchflower TE

Shazier makes tackles all over the field with his 4.38 speed

Tuitt has 1st rd talent and could be a steal if he gets back to his 2012 form

Richardson will help at CB, Ike Taylor is getting old

Archer ran the fastest 40 time at the combine and is dangerous in the open field

Bryant is a long lean receiver who can fly and go up and get the ball. Scary thing is he is nowhere near his full potential

FINAL GRADE: Pittsburgh Steelers – B+
