Colin Kaepernick says he wouldn’t be where he is today without Alex Smith
Yesterday, Colin Kaepernick was given a pretty hefty pay day, but there was one player he could not thank enough.
Kaepernick hasn’t forgotten the man who helped him after going down with an injury.
“I don’t think I would be at this point so quickly if (Alex Smith) hadn’t been such a great mentor to me and helped me along with things,” Kaepernick said at a Wednesday news conference to announce the deal. “I’m very grateful for my teammates as well. I wouldn’t be here without them.”
Alex Smith might want to take this to the Chiefs front office since he is due a pay raise after this season.
