Philadelphia Eagles award former US soldier with a contract offer

villanuevaAlejandro Villanueva spent the past four years defending his country in the U.S. Army. Villanueva will now spend this offseason trying to make the Philadelphia Eagles’ 53-man roster. The 6’9, 277 pound Villanueva who is a former US Army Ranger will now be a Philadelphia Eagle. Earlier in the month, he was promoted to captain after spending three tours in Afghanistan.

Villanueva had an amazing workout at the recent super regional combine in Detroit, a supplement to the NFL’s national scouting combine. Players who impressed at an NFL regional combine were invited to attend the NFL super regional combine to display their talents in front of NFL team scouts and player personnel directors.

The Eagles must have fallen in love with the size of Villanueva, while he might be a long shot to make the roster you have to love the passion of this “Warrior”.
