Aaron Hernandez was indicted today by a Grand Jury for alleged assault in jail

Aaron Hernandez was indicted on charges of assault and battery and threats to do bodily harm. Hernandez was indicted on a jailhouse assault on inmate Andrew Booker. Booker, the inmate allegedly assaulted by Hernandez, was released from jail last month. Booker was being on drug and weapons charges related to a September raid by the New Bedford police. He has pleaded not guilty.

Booker allegedly exchanged words with Hernandez before the two men later came across each other in a hallway in the unit when the altercation occurred.

I feel deep down inside that Hernandez will beat the charge of assault in the jailhouse because he is not responsible for being in a corridor uncuffed, while another inmate is being transported and he is restrained.  While Hernandez did assault the inmate, the Prison will be held accountable.  I think he can beat the charges, if the defense throws it back on the prison.  The prison’s job to protect the inmates and the people on the outside.  That day they failed to do that.
