Pittsburgh Steelers have two hot prospects in for a pre-draft visit today

Today the Pittsburgh Steelers had a pre-draft visit with defensive end Demarcus Lawrence the former Boise State stand-out. Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Ed Bouchette reports that Boise State edge rusher Demarcus Lawrence had a pre-draft visit with the Steelers on Thursday.

Bouchette also noted that running back Jerick McKinnon of Georgia Southern also was hosted on a visit today, which is the final week that teams have to bring in draft prospects.

Both prospects are red hot prospects who is beginning to shoot up draft boards and there has been some discussion that the former Boise State star could emerge as a first-round pick. Whether or not that happens remains to be seen, but it is more likely that the Steelers are investigating in case he falls to their pick in the second-round. McKinnon had the most impressive Combine of any player in Indy.  McKinnon is going to be a steal for a team because of his versatility. The Steelers are putting in quite a bit of homework in their pre-draft visits. They have been all over the place, but that it will give their scouting department a lot to work with.
