Detroit Lions sign CB Cassius Vaughn to a one year deal

Today the Detroit Lions signed cornerback Cassius Vaughn, a part-time starter with the Indianapolis Colts the last two seasons, to a one-year deal after a workout today according to Dave Birkett on twitter.

Cassius Vaughn intercepted a career-high three passes in 16 games – four starts – for the Colts last year. He made 11 starts in 2012, and played the 2010-11 seasons for the Denver Broncos. Cassius Vaughn is only 26 years old and will compete for playing time with the others in the secondary. I would expect Vaughn to get quite a bit of reps at corner.
