Today the Tennessee Titans released their right tackle in David Stewart. Stewart was a physical, hard-nosed right tackle that excels at the point of attack. Nicknamed “Big Country,” the Alabama native is an intense competitor that mauls defenders in the run game and provides solid protection in the aerial attack. His soft-spoken demeanor and country mannerisms off the field run in sharp contrast with his tough, aggressive presence on the gridiron.
The team will save 6.4 million in cap space by releasing him. This is not the only move the Titans are making. On Monday the team is scheduled to have Akeem Jordan in for a visit.
Jordan appeared in all 16 games, starting ten, in his lone season with the Chiefs. The 28-year-old is a very solid player that can come in and start right away for the Titans.
