Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Glenn Winston, RB, Northwood University How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?
Roughly 50 schools were expressing interest.
Where did you choose and why?
I chose MSU because of the relationship I build with my recruiter/RB coach.
At your position, what separates you from the others?
My size and speed combination sets me apart from most backs.
Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?
First thing is what front are they in, how aggressive are they what tendency they have on blitz packages.
Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?
Maybe Brandon Graham
If you could compare your play to one person in the NFL who would it be?
My Adrian Peterson or Marshawn Lynch.
What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?
My departure from MSU, staying positive and humbled working my hardest to get back to doing what I love.
What system fits your style of play the best?
I like pro style the best but I could fit into any scheme I would say.
What is your biggest strength?
My biggest strength is the mental approach I bring to the game.
What is your biggest weakness?
My biggest weakness is myself being my biggest critic.
If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?
I’m a down to earth hardworking dependable game changer, that just happens to be gifted athleticism. I’m an extremely intelligent player that learns and applies the knowledge quickly. My love for the game is like no other and I can show better then I can tell you.
Growing up, who was your role model?
My role model Is the most high and my creator.
Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?
I would say the 49ers because of the offense they run I feel I would be perfect there.
What was the most tragic event that ever happened in your life and how did you overcome it?
The most tragic event was the situation i went through at state. I overcame by staying extremely positive and hard work.
If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be? Number 1 would be Malcolm X, number 2 would be John F kennedy and number 3 would have to be Denzel Washington.
With your first paycheck what would you buy? I would save it to eventually buy my mother and family a new location somewhere warm and nice.
