So much for Percy Harvin not making an impact in Super Bowl XLVIII. After a first half that saw him included in the offensive gameplan from a rushing perspective, Harvin blew the lid off Met Life Stadium by taking the opening second-half kickoff to the house.
Harvin’s electric return gave the Seahawks a 29-0 lead over the Broncos. Harvin’s kick return gave the Seahawks a Super Bowl record for most points scored to start a Super Bowl.
It’s pretty hard to justify the trade of a first-round pick on a single play, but the Percy Harvin trade looks like a pretty ingenious move after tonight.
I am calling it now, MVP….
