Buffalo has one more week to franchise tag Jairus Byrd or he walks
The Buffalo Bills have seven days to decide if Pro Bowl safety Jairus Byrd will get the franchise tag for the 2014 season.
He was tagged last year by the Bills and seemed quite disgruntled with the team’s ability to strike a deal. NFL teams have a two-week window that is closing on March 3. That provides the Bills one more week to negotiate with Byrd in an effort to reach a long-term extension. I would be surprised if both sides agree to a deal.
I honestly expect a tag and trade with Jairus Byrd who is playing hard ball with the Buffalo Bills.
