Texas Rangers baseball team own the rights Jameis Winston and it could pay off

If football ended right now, the Texas Rangers might have the best baseball in Major League Baseball.  The Rangers are not afraid to make a splash, and just like always in the MLB draft, the Rangers took a flyer on both Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston.

Shoot the Texas Rangers could be a pretty impressive baseball team, as well as football team.  You have to love how Ed Werder took a shot at the Dallas Cowboys as well, haha.

Texas Rangers have rights to Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston. Cowboys have Tony Romo and Kyle Orton. Jon Daniels or Jerry Jones as GM?

MLB #Rangers spent $12,000 to get rights to Russell Wilson. Made it all back and then some already just on value of marketing exposure

In an ESPN Insider article, Doug Mittler states that the Heisman Trophy winner might still explore the road traveled by the likes of Deion Sanders and Bo Jackson, and attempt to become a professional two-sport athlete. Winston was drafted in the 15th round of the 2012 Draft by Daniels and company, having been both a reliever and outfielder for the Florida State Seminoles. His decision to play for Florida State’s football program seems to have worked itself out, however.

An eye should be kept on Winston, however, as he is eligible to be drafted again in 2015.
