Mike Munchak will interview for the Lions; His OC is coming too?
Ken Whisenhunt remains the Detroit Lions’ top choice to fill their coaching vacancy, however the team isn’t sitting idle waiting for the San Diego Chargers’ offensive coordinator.
Former Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak will interview with the Lions on Friday. Munchak was fired Saturday after refusing to not fire his offensive coordinator Dowell Loggains. The interesting thing is Munchak will bring Loggains to his interview in Detroit. Loggains will also have an interview with the New York Giants for their open Offensive Coordinator position.

Munchak was fired over the weekend in part because he refused to make changes to his coaching staff in Tennessee. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that Loggains was one coach the Titans’ brass wanted Munchak to replace.
