Jerry Jones finally admits his mistake; Monte Kiffin has been demoted
I honestly do not know what Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys are doing, but I hope it works. Today the team announced that they have finally hired Scott Linehan as their pass game coordinator. Yes, I have never heard of that, but hey this is Jerry’s World.
Well, today Jerry finally admitted he made a mistake with Monte Kiffin, by demoting the former defensive coordinator. The team promoted Rod Marinelli to defensive coordinator, and gave Kiffin a new title as the assistant head coach.
The move comes eight days after Cowboys owner Jerry Jones insisted “nothing has changed” with his coordinators. Now, both have been demoted. Kiffin is one of the most respected defensive minds in the history of the modern game, but it was clear the league had passed him by last season.
