Five free agents who “MUST” be retained by their team

There are so many good free agents out there, but what players are guys that you cannot let leave via free agency?  I came up with a list of five guys that I feel you have to keep in their place.

Jimmy Graham – TE – New Orleans Saints – This is the most obvious player that needs to remain on his team.  The guy is a touchdown machine, and every team in the NFL would drool to have him on their team.  I expect him to be hit with a Franchise Tag, but if the Saints cannot come up with a way to clear up some space, he could be a candidate to leave.

Greg Hardy – DE – Carolina Panthers – Hardy had the best year of his career, and the Panthers defense finally played well.  You cannot have such a great success and then let it go.  You have to re-sign the sack master and let him stay in town.  Hardy has already stated he wouldn’t mind being franchise tagged, but we will see how it plays out.

LaMarr Houston – DE – Oakland Raiders – Houston is staring to turn into a franchise guy, and the last thing the Raiders young team needs to do is lose this guy. He is a leader on the defensive side of the ball, and is a huge asset to the Silver and Black.

T.J. Ward – DB – Cleveland Browns – The Browns will have a very solid attacking defense next year with Mike Pettine.  The Browns are going to want to lock this guy up for the long term.  In the several games Jairus Byrd played last year he was a force, because of all the pressure on the opposing quarterback.  Expect Ward to make the Pro-Bowl again if he is re-signed.

Aqib Talib – DB – New England Patriots – The Patriots secondary is so beat up, Talib becomes a top priority.  They will need to re-sign the long corner to ensure he is with them in the near future.  The Patriots need help and Talib is becoming a top tier corner in the NFL.
