Five 2014 NFL Draft prospects with the most BUST potential

There are many solid football players coming out in 2014, but some players are over hyped by the media in my opinion.  I wanted to write an article where I post my five biggest “Bust” players coming out in the 2014 NFL Draft.  I might be wrong later, but everyone has their own opinions.

Derek Carr – QB – Fresno State – I don’t care if this kid’s brother was the first pick, and that he has a strong arm, Derek Carr makes too many mental mistakes.  I have a bad feeling about Carr, and honestly do not have him in my top 5 quarterbacks.  Carr continues to rise people’s big board, but I am confused, because although he has big boy numbers, he does not impress on film.

Kyle Van Noy – DE – BYU – Can you say Aaron Maybin 2.0? I am not sold on Van Noy at all, the kid shows flashes but if a team drafts this kid anywhere higher than the third round they are making a mistake, in my opinion.  I love his athleticism, but I just don’t see that “it” factor in his game, like you see with Khalil Mack and Anthony Barr.

Ka’Deem Carey – RB – Arizona – Everyone likes this speed back, but I don’t think he is as great of a back as people are claiming.  I have several backs ranked ahead of Carey, and I feel that he is overrated.  He has NOT declared for the NFL Draft and I think that is a good thing.  Give him another year to develop and he will be removed from my list.

Louhiez Purifoy – CB – Florida – People are obsessed with the Gators corner backs, but Purifoy has not been that impressive to me.  The Gators had a sophomore that looked fluid when in the game.  Purifoy has great size and speed, but both corners were ate up badly this year in multiple games.  Purifoy could turn into a gem, but he will need a bunch of coaching.

Jake Matthews – OT – Texas A&M – I understand the kid’s father is a legend, and that is great and all, but he doesn’t impress me.  I think a team will over draft him because of his father’s name, and he will not end up being the factor they were looking for.  His stock could drop before the draft.
