Willie Gibson probably does not get the love the kid deserves.  He is an All-Purpose monster in the NAIA, where he does it all for his team.  At 6’1 the speedster has great hands and cut ability.  He has been getting quite a bit of love from NFL Scouts this year and I would expect him to get a shot somewhere next year in the NFL.

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

12

Where did you choose and why?

I chose GMC coming out of high school because I didn’t have a high enough test school to get into Georgia Tech. I got hurt at GMC and didn’t want to stay no more so I transfer to a small school in Kentucky where I had some high school friends at because I didn’t have enough credits for GT.

What were your goals for your senior year?

To lead in positive way on and off the field and help my team win a NAIA national championship we played in the NAIA championship but we lost by 10.

Have any scouts met with you, and if so what are they saying?

I have met with at least 28 NFL scouts already, and they all told me I had a legit shot to play at the next level.

At your position, what separates you from the others?

What separates me from other at my position is my work ethnic to become a better player. Also my speed, play making ability and strength

Tell us what you look for when breaking down film?

When I breakdown film I look out for how tight the DBs hips are also how they look coming in and out of breaks. How they react when the ball is in the air.

Who was the toughest player you have ever faced?

Alfonzo Dennard!! Who is now playing with the New England Patriot

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

The biggest obstacle I had to overcome was coming from a small trying to live out my dream to get a chance to play in the NFL or at least get look at by some NFL scouts. So I trained hard to become a beast on the field broke like 8 school records and a really fast 40 time.

What system fits your style of play the best?

A pro style offense fits me best

What is your biggest strength?

My speed, big play ability, quickness and strength

What is your biggest weakness?

Route running, and taking the proper angle to make blocks

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

Hard worker, dedicated to the game, football is my life, and I’m willing to do or play any position to help this team better.

Growing up, who was your role model?

Randy Moss!

Who was your favorite team and player in the NFL and why?

The Denver Broncos! Because I just loved to watch John Elway and Terrell Davis put on a show it was so exciting to me.

What is the most tragic situation you have ever had to over come?

I got caught up in a situation where I was just in the wrong spot at the wrong time, but thank God they had cameras so I wasn’t charged with nothing but it humbled me and made me become more aware of the people I hang around because it almost took my football career from and I didn’t want that to happen.

If you were to have dinner with three people dead or alive who would it be?

My Mother, Brother and Sister

With your first paycheck what would you buy?

A car for my Mother and I
