The NFL has had many injuries this year, but I have a stat that will blow your mind. Kirk Cousins ($598,172) became the 16th starting QB this season with a 2013 cap figure of less than $1M. If you are wondering…the starting QB with the lowest cap figure this season: Scott Tolzien ($261,176).
Several teams had to start several quarterbacks with guys under a 1 million dollar cap figure. For example the Buffalo Bills have started three starting quarterbacks this year, and all three have less than a million dollar cap figure in 2013. EJ Manuel has a base salary of 405,000 dollars (Not including his signing bonus), Jeff Tuel has a base salary of 495,000, and Thaddeus Lewis has a base salary of 510,000 dollars.
