Today the Houston Texans claimed former small school cornerback Justin Rogers off the waivers from the Buffalo Bills. Rogers was drafted in the 7th round from the University of Richmond.
Earlier this year, Rogers put up the worst performance ever by a Buffalo Bills corner as he allowed Geno Smith throw for 250 plus yards on Rogers alone. Rogers sat on the inactive spot on gamedays for the past six weeks in Buffalo before being released. He will need a confidence booster, and he should get that in Houston.
In a corresponding move inside linebacker D.J. Smith was released to make room.
