Zac Sudfeld was claimed by the New York Jets today via waivers

Today, Zac Sudfeld was claimed by the New York Jets. Sudfeld was released by the Patriots on Thursday after the signing of receiver Austin Collie.

The undrafted free agent out of Nevada was impressive in the preseason for the Patriots, showcasing top athletic ability on a 6’7, 260-pound frame and appearing to be a long-term option for the Patriots at tight end. Well it turned out that Sudfeld was not the Diamond in the Rough that Belichick envisioned.

The Jets have no long term tight end right now, so this is a good move for the Jets.
