Tom Savage is making his rounds; Will visit Oakland Raiders today
- Tom Savage is getting some love lately from NFL media hype men (writers). Since the other day Gil Brandt posted a tweet saying Tom Savage the former Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback is a top 40 pick.
- I have been saying for a while that I loved Tom Savage. I was crucified for saying I liked the kid, but it looks like teams are now taking the love for Savage real.
- Savage did play a few games with a rib issue, but after he turned down the East/West Shrine Game, I was shocked. Although, I was a astonished a quarterback who was projected as a late round pick would turn down the opportunity to play in front of hundreds of NFL personnel, I guess he felt he didn’t need it.
- I honestly cannot see Tom Savage going in the top 40, but I have seen crazier things. All it takes is one team to fall in love with Tom Savage. Whether you like Tom Savage or not, you have to give a round of applause to his agent for boosting his name a month before the draft. His agent is doing what is necessary to get his client a work out/pre-draft visit. Over the past several days, Savage is the most talked about player in the NCAA. You would think he was a first rounder after the hype. Well tomorrow the Raiders will bring him in for a visit. It will be interesting to see where he goes, but once again I would be blown away if Tom Savage goes in the top 40.
