Does Tom Brady have another 5 years left in the tank?

Tom Brady has been the most dominant quarterback and probably the biggest bargain ever in the history of the NFL. Another player that was a huge bargain was Wes Welker, Brady’s former teammate.  Welker talked about Tom Brady and his work ethic in an interview with Boston Herald.  Welker even admitted he feels Tom has another 5 years left.

“If anybody can do it, it’s Tom,” Welker said of the 36-year-old Brady. “I mean, he puts the time in, not only physically and mentally and everything else, but the way he eats, the way he sleeps, the way he does everything. He does it so he can play for a very long time. I think what he did in his 20s and 30s are going to carry on into his 40s.

“The amount of work that he puts into it, I think it’s pretty obvious that he’s going to get that back out of it in his later years.”

I don’t know if Tom Brady will be able to make it another 5 years, but hey look at Brett Favre, he did it and performed at a very high level.  Brady is in good shape and has a great work ethic.  If the team can add some key pieces around him they might win it all in 2014.
