Redskins promote LB Houston Bates; Place Jackson Jeffcoat on I/R
The Washington Redskins promoted OLB Houston Bates from their practice squad and placed OLB Jackson Jeffcoat on season-ending injured reserve. 
Bates led all pass rushers in sacks in the preseason. The former Lousiana Tech linebacker has a knack for getting to the quarterback.
