Patriots hosted former 2x Pro-Bowl offensive guard Davin Joseph

The Patriots hosted guard Davin Joseph on a free-agent visit, according to  ESPN’s Field Yates and Mike Reiss. Joseph, who was drafted No. 23 overall in the 2006 draft out of Oklahoma, was released on March 8 after spending eight seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Joseph, who started 16 games last season at right guard, is a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2008 and 2011). On Jul 28, 2011, Joseph agreed to terms with the “Bucs” on a seven-year, $53 million contract including $19 million guaranteed before getting released earlier this year.  Joseph would be a huge impact player for the Pats, and could be signed relatively cheap. Keep a close eye on this move, because the Patriots are always making moves like this later in free agency.
