Panthers head coach Ron Rivera had a big house fire last night
According to WCNC, Ron Rivera the head coach of the Carolina Panthers, had a house fire last night in his Charlotte home. The Panthers coach was sleeping when a fire started in his home around 4 a.m., but was able to get everyone out in time.
“I’m OK,” Rivera said, via WCNC. “Everyone is fine, thank you guys.”
There’s significant damage to the roof and attic of his south Charlotte home, and a Charlotte Fire Department spokesman said the early indications were that the fire was accidental. Rivera might have to stay in a hotel to prepare for next weeks game against Seattle. This is sad news for the Panthers, but they will overcome adversity.
