Packers will have a huge advantage tonight; His name is John Parry
The referee for tonight’s Seahawks-Packers game will be John Parry. And as ESPN details here his crews have a reputation for calling things tightly in the secondary.
Writes ESPN:
“It’s worth noting that Parry’s crew was a relatively prolific caller of defensive holding and illegal contact last season, before the points of emphasis were announced. It called a combined 26 of them in 15 regular-season weeks, tying with Clete Blakeman’s crew for the most in the league.”
Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reports that tonight’s referee is John Parry. That’s significant because Parry’s crew called the most defensive holding and pass interference penalties of any officiating crew during the preseason.
While the Seahawks were the least penalized team in the NFL during the preseason, things could change tonight, especially since the Seahawks are a corner short with Tharold Simon out with a minor knee injury.
