Packers running backs coach feels Eddie Lacy could lead the league in rushing

eddieWhen Sam Gash the former Buffalo Bills full back and current running backs coach of the Packers was asked if Eddie Lacy of the Green Bay Packers is perfectly capable of leading the National Football League in rushing this season, his answer was simple.

“Without a doubt,” Sam Gash, the team’s running backs coach, said Monday. “He has the capability of being the leading rusher and maybe even combined yards if he catches a lot of balls. I absolutely do think that.

“I think he’s a bell cow. He’s a big guy, and he’s physical.”

That is a pretty big obstacle for the Packers, especially since only one player in Packers history has ever finished atop of the standings. Jim Taylor the Packers former fullback was the only Packer to lead the league in rushing with 1,474 yards in 1962.

While that is a huge stat, I think that Lacy can be a top 5 back.
