Brian McIntyre of Yahoo! Sports reported Thursday that Crosby has agreed to restructure his contract, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.
Mason was scheduled to make $2.4 million in base salary this season, but reworked a deal were he will receive $800,000 in base pay. Those earning are fully guaranteed if he makes the team, and the six-year veteran can recoup the other $1.6 million through roster bonuses and performance incentives, McIntyre reported.
This great for Mason Crosby who had to work very hard this offseason. He had to compete with several free agents to keep his job, but the scare tactic from the Packers must have worked.
