NFL Draft Diamonds and our staff have been bringing our readers Prospect Interviews over the past 2 years and this year we mixed up the questions and added some fun questions for our readers. We have tons of NFL staff that read our interviews, and we actually received several of the questions from NFL scouts we speak too. Football is about giving back, what is the coolest things you have done off the field?

Every time I come back home I go up to my high school & lecture the football team on how to be successful in life & what it takes to be a college athlete. I also workout with them, lifting weights & doing drills. The other coolest thing is that I got invited to be a guest speaker at my peewee league football banquet. I also got a chance to give back to the Veteran Hospital in Mississippi; it was such an honor & privilege to be amongst heroes.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Nutrition

Where are you from? 

Detroit, Michigan 

Who is your role model, and why? 

My mom happens to be my role model. Why? Because she’s the most influential & the hardest working person I’ve ever known thus far. She taught me that you can do whatever you want in life if you put your mind to it. Very supportive & always there. Someone who faced some much adversity but yet still sacrificed a lot for us to live a lifestyle she never possessed. 

Did you play any other sports growing up? 

Basketball (grades 7-12) football (age 8-23) track (grades 7-12)

Did you play any other positions in football? 

GUNNER, Nickel

At your position, what separates you from others? 

My intelligence, knack for the ball, excellent tackler, CONFIDENCE, competitiveness, responsible,ability to break down film, demeanor/attitude, speed, ACCOUNTABLE! 

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Route running, physicality of receivers, releases, attitude when there’s a run vs pass, speed, QB if stares targets down, alignments, which formations are used the most, run-pass ratio, their hustle, strength-weaknesses, their bread & butter, shifts & motions, special team strengths-weaknesses, star players, critique every position.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced? 

Corey Smith (Ohio State)

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why? 

Josh Norman. He reminds me of myself because we approach the game with the same demeanor/mindset. Awesome lockdown physical corner who plays with a lot of confidence. Both had to earn everything given to us. Great person on & off the field who never forgot where he came from.Very Accountable!

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it? 

Not having a football scholarship coming out of high school. I overcame it by continuously having faith & believing in my vision. A lot of hard work & sacrifices. 

Do you have any pre-game rituals? 

Drown myself with lots of cold water all over my face till its numb.

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

Being overlooked & having to make a name for myself. Networking

What is your biggest strength? 

Never being satisfied

What is your biggest weakness? 

Being to hard on myself

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say? 

Hardworking and intelligent individual who you can hold accountable. Not only am I passionate about the game of football but I can bring that stigma to this organization: leadership, competitiveness, that spark. Very dedicated to my craft, always willing & open to learning new things/positions. I’m that guy you can rely on to do the right thing at all times on & off the field. I can not only make an impact on the field but off the field as well. I love volunteering & is big on community festivities. Great personality who is team oriented. Unsung hero type of guy; Does a great job but doesn’t look for the credit just doing my responsibility!

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose? 

Nelson Mandela, Maximilian Kolbe, Sigmund Freud

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy? 

Nothing, I’ll stash it & continue working toward this project I’ve always dreamed of doing for my community for the youth 18 & younger!
