This gives them a little bit more information regarding your character. We hope to bring you more than 300 interviews of NFL Draft Prospects this season. You will be able to track them all on the front page of our website in the banner.

What is your name?

Darrian Miller

What is your Height/Weight?

5’10” 200

What is your position?

RB/WR/RS

Where do you play college football?

Kansas University and finished at University of Northern Iowa.

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

It’s hard to choose from. I have been involved in many community service projects since high school. In HS, our team would regularly visit the soup kitchen and serve. In college, I enjoyed all of the youth camps and fan appreciation days. I was always able to connect with kids who admired athletes over other entertainers and figures in the world

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Humanities III

Where are you from?

Blue Springs, MO

Who is your role model, and why?

Carlos Anderson. Just someone I’ve tried to model my game and life after. He has always been a man of God and showed me what a true friend is. He also showed me how to approach the game and be a leader on the field.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Every sport besides golf.

Did you play any other positions in football?

OLB/Nickel in HS. Moved and lined up at several places in college.

At your position, what separates you from others?

The main thing is versatility. I’ve shown the ability to make plays from different positions on the field whether it be offense or both sides of special teams. Production against BIG12 and Missouri Valley competition. Experience pro-style, spread, and no-huddle systems.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I take a little more time when breaking down because I have to know about everyone on the field. I look for their fronts and LB depths for blitzes when I’m in the backfield. I also have to break down their coverages and shifts so I can know where to take a route and who to block on the perimeter.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Robert Griffin in his Heisman year. If not him, then blocking Ufomba Kamalu everyday in practice.

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

Giovanni Bernard

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I would say dealing with depression and other vices of the past that led to trouble. I didn’t overcome it by myself. First, I met a man named John Lucas who changed my life. Then, I had a great support group of friends and family to keep me focused on my main goal.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Jay-Rel – “The Dream Is Back”

Darrian_MillerWhat is your biggest strength?

Durability. I don’t take direct hits.

What is your biggest weakness?

Bullrush up the middle.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I’m a steal and everyone loves a good deal. You’re getting an all around playmaker, on-field coach, and “locker room guy” in me. If you are the GM that chooses to roll the dice on Darrian Miller, the odds are in your favor.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Kansas City Chiefs. Clinton Portis

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

I’d choose my Grandma Helen and Grandma Irene. Id give anything for that dinner.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

A ring.
