Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

At SIU each year, we have a blackout cancer game where families bid on a jersey number to represent their name as we play. Our coach had us visit a cancer treatment center in the off season that our blackout game helped build. Realizing what we were playing for and the people that it helped after visiting really opened my eyes and humbled me. It was a great experience.

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Business law

Fairview Heights, Illinois 

Who is your role model, and why?

My parents are my role model, they’ve gone through tough times but always made sure my sisters and I had everything we needed and took made the best of our opportunities.

Did you play any other sports growing up?

Baseball and basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

Tailback 

At your position, what separates you from others?

Focus and work ethic has always been very important to me and I hold myself to a high standard.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

Tendencies a offense will show and the type of players the opponent has.

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

David Johnson from the Cardinals

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I like the way Luke Kuechly plays, he’s a guy that is always around the ball and I feel like I have that potential.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

Listen to my pregame playlist and say a prayer before walking on the field. 

As a small school football player what obstacles do you feel you have to overcome?

I feel like I need to prove I am capable of playing with the better competition that bigger schools offer. 

What is your biggest strength?

My speed and work ethic.

Biggest weakness is technique, I could always improve here.

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I am a player who will do the right thing on and off the field and always give it my all. 

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

Brian Urlacher and the Bears.

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

My older sister who passed and my both my parents for another dinner together. 

With your first NFL paycheck what would you buy?

A cruise ship vacation for my family and friends.
