New York Giants hire Aaron Rodgers teacher as new OC

The New York Giants announced Tuesday that they have hired Ben McAdoo as their new offensive coordinator.

McAdoo, 36, has been the quarterbacks coach for the Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers for the past two seasons. Prior to that, he spent six years as the Packers’ tight ends coach.

He’s also worked on the staffs of the San Francisco 49ers and New Orleans Saints, as well as for Stanford, Akron, Pittsburgh and Michigan State in the college coaching ranks. He has never been an offensive coordinator until now.

McAdoo’s deal with the Giants will be a two-year contract, according to a source. Coach Tom Coughlin’s contract only runs one more year.
