Massachusetts police department name their K-9 dog “Gronk”
When you live in Massachusetts you eat, sleep and breathe Boston sports. Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots are everything to the people, and even the community.
The Athol Police Department loves the Patriots so much they named its newest officer, a 1-year-old German shepherd, after the Pats tight end Rob Gronkowski.
Police Chief Russell Kleber told the Greenfield Recorder that “Gronk” is set to go through a four-week training program where the K-9 will learn to help track missing people, suspects and criminals in addition to detecting drugs.
Like any good New Englander, Kleber said he wanted to name the dog after a Boston sports figure, and picked the nickname for New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski.
NFL Draft Diamonds was created to assist the underdogs playing the sport. We call them diamonds in the rough.
