What is your name?

Malcolm Jenkins

What is your Height/Weight?

5’8

What is your position?

Cornerback

Where do you play college football?

Bethany College

Football is about giving back, what is the coolest thing you have done off the field?

The coolest thing that I have done off the field is go help out with a few kids camps. Seeing the kids just run and feeling their energy is one of the best feelings I’ve ever had on and off the field. Just knowing your helping them fall in love with a game that has helped you so much in life is a great feeling because this game kept me focused and helped me get to where I’m at today .

What was the hardest college class you ever had to take?

Accounting !

Where are you from?

East Orange, New Jersey !

Who is your role model, and why?

Role models I would have to say my parents . They made me understand at a young age life is all about choices and how you set up your next move . They showed me that hard work and dedication will always work , you just have to see everything through!

Did you play any other sports growing up?

I also ran track and ran in the junior Olympics a few times and placed top 20 every year. Also basketball

Did you play any other positions in football?

I’ve played running back, safety, KR, and WR

At your position, what separates you from others?

My work ethic , I hate to lose in anything so I train harder than anybody I know because I know this is what I want. I know people will knock me for anything and everything. So my dad always told me to be a step in front of everyone else. My fear to fail pushes me everyday to perfect my craft!.

When you are breaking down film, what do you look for?

I look for receiver tendencies, how they line up how the Qb takes his progression, When they are likely to throw the ball, Their favorite route combinations , If they are lazy . Do they give away if it’s a run or pass by how they come off the ball. Lastly how they run their routes .

Who was the toughest player you ever faced?

Leonte Carroo

If you could compare your play to one player in the NFL who would it be and why?

I would have to say a mixture of Tyrann Mathieu and Earl Thomas, because of how aggressive they play. They have good speed and attack the ball. Even though I think my game is a lot different.

What was the biggest obstacle in your life you had to overcome, and how did you overcome it?

I would have to say overcoming situations that most people would have gave up on! One example I would say is making people respect my grind and my love for the game. I made it so even if you didn’t like me you had to play me because of what I bought to the table as a player and as a leader.

Do you have any pre-game rituals?

I always pray! Listen to Ray Lewis motivational speeches and think about my family and the people I’m playing for that’s no longer here. I started a ritual before where all my DBs prayed together and thank God for the opportunity he was giving us

What is your biggest strength?

My mind, my physicality, my size (motivation)

What is your biggest weakness?

My size

If I were a GM and gave you a second to sell yourself, what would you say?

I will do what ever it takes to help the team. I am dedicated to my craft and I will push myself to my limits to make sure no one outworks me ! I’ve been fighting my whole life to prove myself right and my track record shows I always rise to the occasion.

Who was your favorite player and/or NFL team growing up?

I would have to say Darrell Revis because he plays the game so humble but is a beast. He always looks relaxed and his plays with some much intelligence and patience but is also very physical when he plays bump and run. I’ve learned alot from his play and my NFL team is the Titans .

If you could have dinner with three people dead or alive, who would you choose?

Jay-Z, Bill Gates ,and my Uncle who passed away.

What will be the first big item you buy once you are in the NFL?

My family a house! They have done so much for me and I want to take care of them first before I worry about myself .
