If the Browns land Josh McDaniels, how likely would it be they land Ryan Mallett too?

Today Ian Rapoport claimed that the Browns have two guys narrowed down for their next head coaching vacancy. Those two guys are Bob Stoops of Oklahoma and Josh McDaniels the Offensive Coordinator of the Patriots.  Well if Josh McDaniels gets another shot at coaching, I would expect him to stay away from drafting a quarterback, with his past experience (Tebow).  If the team is not sold on Johnny Football as their starter, the Browns could look to go in a different direction to a guy that McDaniels knows very well.

No not Tom Brady, but his back up Ryan Mallett.  Mallett has been sitting calmly waiting for an opportunity to shine, but has never really had the chance.  Well this could be the year he gets his shot.

Could you imagine if the Browns landed Ryan Mallett who has a cannon and already understands the NFL and the speed of the game?  With a second or third round pick the Browns could have themselves a very solid player and they could focus their other picks on best player available or positions of need.

Ryan Mallett can handle the bad weather, and could be a great option. He has been linked to the Browns before, but let’s face it, the Browns have to hit on their quarterback this year or else they will fail miserably.
