Well when you have football, you better believe Fantasy Football is not far behind. We are going to do two sections every week with Fantasy Studs, and Fantasy Duds. We will pick one player at each position that we would start if you have the player on your roster.
I hope you enjoy, here you go…..
WEEK 1 STUDS
Peyton Manning – QB – Denver Broncos – How can you not love what the Broncos do? Indy has to go to Denver, in Peyton’s back yard and play against one of the greatest to ever take the field. I expect #18 to shred the Colts defense apart in a Primetime Sunday Night Game. Whenever you have a big name player, playing on the big time stage, you have to start him. This is a perfect example. Peyton will get you points, I promise.
Marshawn Lynch – RB – Seattle Seahawks – Marshawn Lynch should be the NFL’s leading rusher after tonight’s game. Lynch is a stud and the Packers are playing with B.J. Raji, their run stuffer. Lynch should get the ball early and often and I expect him to make it to the next level several times. Lynch should score a couple touchdowns tonight on a Primetime Stage.
Victor Cruz – WR – New York Giants – Cruz and Eli Manning will face the Detroit Lions who have absolutely no secondary. They are so bad in the secondary they worked out Champ Bailey today. I am telling you, Cruz will get the ball early and I expect him to have a Megatron type of night.
Jimmy Graham – TE – New Orleans Saints – If you own Jimmy Graham, I don’t know why you would start anyone but him. The Saints are playing the Falcons who are hurting bad at the linebacker position. They will struggle bad to cover him, and might need to put a corner on the field to contain him. This should not be pretty for the Falcons.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense – I might get smashed for this pick, but I cannot think of a better defense to play this week. They are playing Cam Newton and the Panthers. Cam Newton has zero targets to throw too, and an over paid back-field. The Buccaneers look like a group of players that are hungry. I can see them getting to the ball and causing turnovers. Play the Bucs D.
Dan Carpenter – K – Buffalo Bills – Are you looking for a kicker that will put up points? Dan the man is your guy. The Bills will play the Bears, and we already know that the Bills struggled badly to get into the endzone after 5 preseason games. Carpenter could be called on a lot this year, and seems like a very great kicking option.
