Eagles expected to sign Brad Smith the versatile weapon
The Philadelphia Eagles plan to sign wide receiver Brad Smith on Tuesday, pending a physical, according to a team source. Smith, who was an impact player in certain situations for the Jets, became a free-agent a few days ago following a short stint with the Bills. Buffalo signed him as a free agent under a former coaching regime, and injuries derailed him this season.
Smith was a former college quarterback that is super versatile. He was a kick returner/quarterback/wide receiver, and special teamer. The Eagles will probably use Brad Smith in many aspects of the game. He will fit the Chip Kelly mold perfectly. He can be used for tons of positions.
