Draft Diamonds Prospect Interview: Lesley Deamer III, DT, Northwestern State

Lesley Deamer III is a 6’3, 300 pound massive run stuffer that has speed and agility for a big man.  Deamer has several good moves to get past the lineman and clog a hole.  Deamer is drawing tons of attention from the NFL scouts and is beginning to make a late draft push like former Northwestern State alumni Terrence McGee and Demetrius Bell.

How many teams were recruiting you out of high school?

Mainly SWAC schools and Northwestern State. My coaches told me that playing defensive line only 1 year in high school kept schools away because I was a linebacker so I didn’t have too much technique and defensive line.

Where did you choose and why?

Northwestern State because of the visit and the coaches.

What were your goals for your senior year?

They were to win conference and be 1 of the top defensive tackles in the nation. I had 45 tackles 5 sacks and 1 forced fumble.
